All you need is love and a pet on this February 14th! Take a look at the top four ideas to use when spoiling yourself along with your pet on this special day...
1. Treat you and your Furry Friend to a Special Treat: Because dogs can not indulge in chocolate, consider other healthy options that can replace common Valentine's Day treats. Noble's favorite special treat is Four Paw Barkery's banana peanut butter treats. Therefore, on this special day, we will make Noble a specially decorated treat that shows our love to him. For myself, I will enjoy a banana with peanut butter along with Noble to make him feel even more special when chomping down on his treat.
2. Go Outside & Enjoy the Weather at a Local Park: Noble & I love to get outside the house and exercise, especially when the weather is nice. Our favorite local park is Eden Hall (aka Fluehr Park), which is packed with trails and open grass areas to run. This park is located off of Grant Ave, right past Nazareth Academy. On this special day, I will take Noble for a short ride to the park where we will play catch with our favorite Chuck-It and meet other furry friends around us. What park will you visit?
3. Buy a New Toy: Nothing screams Happy Valentine's Day better than a new toy to play with. Noble loves pull ropes and stuffed animals (even though they only last for a few minutes). On this special day, I will take Noble to our local Pet store where he will be able to pick out his very own Valentine's Day toy. Along with picking out a toy for himself, Noble will pick out a toy for a puppy who is less fortunate. This second toy will be donated to a local rescue in order to make another puppy's Valentine's Day.
4. Spread the Love: Lastly, to wrap up this day of love consider donating to a local rescue or by adopting a new furry friend to add to your family. Four Paws Barkery will donate to Wags Rescue, in order to help the foster homes receive food, treats, and other needed supplies. Noble will donate the toy he picked out at the pet store for a lucky pup.
February 14th does not need to be the only day that you pamper yourself along with your furry friend. Make it a tradition that every so often, you and your best friend go for a walk or enjoy in your favorite treat together.
