Let’s face it, 2020 has not been our year. So much has happened that has led to upsets, heartbreak, and most importantly instability. Unfortunately, during 2020 many small businesses have shut down due to a lack of money, support, and help.   However, now more than ever is the time to think about these small businesses and how you can help support them during these tough times.

Luckily, Four Paws Barkery is still on their feet, thanks to YOU.  As the owner of Four Paws Barkery, I would like to personally thank every one of you who has helped support us and keep us open, active, and busy.  However, it does not stop here. As we approach the New Year, let us continue to help the businesses in our local neighborhoods by supporting them.  Here is why we should help;

  1. Community Identity: Each small business that surrounds your neighborhood, gives off a unique charm and personality.  Whether it be online or a brick and mortar location, the identity of the community is shaped by these small businesses. Therefore, supporting these “mom and dad shops” help the community you live in. They simply bring life to the area and serve as important aspects of your everyday life.

  2. Jobs, Jobs, and More Jobs: Small businesses need help just like big corporations.  Small businesses help create jobs for those who struggle for employment, young adults out of school, and those who need help supporting others.  Small businesses allow one to have their sense of accomplishment and establish independence.

Therefore, next time you are thinking of going out, stop by a local small business and see what they have to offer.  You may end up surprised by the amount of time and work the owner has dedicated to their business.  We are in this together!
